Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I have been on. Life has been busy for me but I have been loving it. My nephew was born and I have been spending every second with him that I can.
Which brings me to my first point. The birth of your first child, niece, nephew, cousin, etc.... is so exciting, fun and new. All you want is to just hold the baby and watch them sleep. You want them to like you the most out of your family and you want to spoil them to no end. But this is not always the best idea.
Now don't get me wrong. I plan on spoiling my nephew the same way I plan on spoiling my own children. If they work hard for what they want then I will run out in a heart beat to get it for them. But now a days I see to many parents spoiling their children no matter what the child does. These children now a days are running amok. The child is in the store screaming for a toy and just to shut them up they buy it. Parent don't want to discipline their children. They want the teachers in the schools to do it, while the teacher is also trying to teach a classroom full and now overflowing of children. Strange enough I have even seen parent call the police to say they are scared of their 8 year old son or daughter because the child hits them. The police are not there for disciplining your child. They have more important things to do like get criminals. If you don't discipline your child at a young age please believe they might turn into one of those criminals when they grow up.
Imagine being a teacher with very little pay, waking up 5 in the morning getting ready for work. reaching to the school by 7am to receive the children getting off the bus or being dropped off by the parents, Then teaching 30 children (all on different learning levels), while also trying to disciple all the children (also on different behavioral levels) and trying to reach the states educational goal. But that is not all, they also have lives of their own, caring for their own children, husband, house, bills, extended family, plus also grading papers for the children after hours at home because there is not enough time to do it at work.
Parents need to start standing up to the plate and disciplining their children. It is not hard and there is time to do it. While you are cooking dinner and your children are normally watching TV, playing on their game station, playing with toys; that is the perfect time sit your children down with a book, have them help you in the kitchen, set the dinner table, talk to you about their day. It should not be parents pick the child up from school, try to keep them busy until dinner, feed them and then send them off to bed.
What time are you spending with your children? Do they know when you say to do something to do it the first time? Do your children throw fits in the store because they want something? Do you give in? When their teachers call you because they need help with building your child up to be a great standing citizen, do you talk to your child and work with them or do you scream at the teacher saying it is their fault?
My parents always told me that if I complained about my teachers then their is something I am not doing as a student. (Now I do understand there is bad teachers out there but as a parent are you going to the school or checking with the teacher to see what is going on?)
To wrap this all up all I wanted to say is raise your children for not just you but for others. (Meaning- raise your child to be independent and to treat others as they would like to be treated) Because when they grow up and your child is out of control and harassing other people it will all come back to you as a parent.
Have a great day and if you would like to chime in on this conversation please do. Join your friends. I would love to reach people who just need advice that maybe they never got or people who need to open their eyes to a new way to approach working with their children.

Falling apart....
What do you do when you start to see most of the relationships around you falling apart?
Now I don't mean the ones you are in but the ones of your friends and family. You see how their relationship is spiraling out of control and you feel powerless to help. You want to run over and help them mend back together what you thought was a great relationship. You see them crying and you want to hug them and tell them that everything is alright.
Recently I have been seeing this going on around me. Relationships breaking apart, people hurting each other out of spite and women hurting from the evil done to them. For a good while I have felt down for the whole fact that there is almost nothing I can do to help.
I have learned this many years ago...
There is something you can do. Be there for the person that is hurting, give them encouraging words, compliments, watch a movie together, play board games, send them a quick text, ask them how they are doing...etc.
I have been praying a lot and asking God to help me to forgive the people that have hurt the people closest to me. I know God will take care of it and I do not have to worry because when someone (even you) is going through a hard time, all it means is that you have some amazing blessings coming your way. Just hold on tight and look to your better day that are coming ahead.

Mistakes...
Now I know a lot of us has done a the right thing in life and listened to just about everything that our parents told us, But on the other hand there is quite a bit of us that has gone off on our own journeys to live a live of adventure.
This post is to those that decided to venture off and figure out the world...
I was grown up in a very tight nit family. We did everything together. My parents did everything in their power to protect my sibling and I from danger and bad influences. But out of my siblings I was the one that wanted to venture out on my own and figure out the world.
I have been through some crazy ups and downs, disappointing my parents, hurt friends, getting my own feeling hurt, you name it.
My parents where sad to see me make some of the decisions that I made but what they did not relies is that their prayer and God alone had his hand over me, protecting me, and the lessons that I was learning was for my future.
I can now say that out of all the good and bad decisions I made in my life that I was able to share my life experiences with others. It was so much easier to relate to others and then give them advice on what mistakes I made and how to avoid these things in their own lives.
Life is such a crazy journey...can you relate?

What are you worth?
-Something I read and had to share with others...
An incident transpired when Muhammad Ali's daughters arrived at his home wearing closes that were quite revealing. Here is the story as told by one of his daughters:
"When we finally arrived, the chauffeur escorted my younger sister, Laila, and I up to my father's suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day.
My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to.
Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.
Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.
Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard to get to them."
He looked at me with serious eyes. "Your body is sacred. You're far more precious than diamonds and pears, and you should be covered too."
-Don't forget my friend that you to are worth more that Diamonds and Gold. You are precious and worth someone loving and treating you as such! :)
(Dedicated to my Mother that use to tell me all the time that I am worth more that Diamonds and Gold!!! Happy Birthday Mom...)

How are you?
Good morning all of my beautiful people (and I do mean each and every one of you).
I have a quick snip-it to share with you. Do you remember a time when you went through something so bad or even traumatizing? Did any one try to warn you first? Did you ever try to warn someone else to not do something because you know the pain and hurt you went through?
To those that are being warned not to do something, Please listen and take heed. They are only looking out for your safety and they do not want you to go through the pain and hurt that they experienced.
You are special, someone cares enough to tell you because they care!
Have a great day and Keep your chin up!!! :)

Prom 2
There is always consequences for your actions.
So it is prom night and you are super excited and getting ready for a night of fun. You remember a few of your friend invited you over to their house for a party that will have alcohol and most likely drugs. You try to push it out of your mind but you know a lot of the cool kids are going to be there.
What do you do?
Best thing to do is go to the dance and have fun. After the prom is over go to the designated after prom party provided by your school or go out to eat with your friends or you can have a bunch of your friends meet up at your house and have a sleep over. This helps in so many ways without you even realizing it. First it puts your parents mind at ease, second it keeps you off of the streets with people who are drinking and driving, third you will save so much money and still get to have a ton of fun and great memories to hold on to with your friends.
Now lets say you choose to go to the party with all of the cool kids. Lets look at all the bad things that happen from this. You get drunk and get alcohol poisoning, now your friends are going to have to drive you to the hospital. Or they can all be to scared to say anything because they don't want to get in trouble and they leave you at the party because they think you will be ok... later you go into a coma and die. But wait that is not the only thing. Lets say you get drunk and you throw up on your self and you pass out. Would your friends give you mouth to mouth with throw up in your mouth if you where gagging and suffocating on your own vomit? I promise you the friends you think that are your friends are truly not when it comes to having to put their life on the line for you. You could get drunk and even pass out and you get raped because you are passed out. You could also do a drug at the party you have never tried before and over dose. But lets not stop there because there is more. You decide I am going to go to a hotel with my boyfriend and have sex for the first time. Most girls end up pregnant on their prom night. Now you have to give up a life of journey and freedom because you have to take care of another living being. What if the dad does not want to stay with you? It happens all the time. He leaves you alone and goes on with his life and you are stuck working your butt off just to buy the baby milk.
All I am saying is think before you act. There is always consequences for your actions. Now this has not happened to everyone that went to a party after prom but think of how many people say "that wont happen to me" and then it happens to them.
To all of my seniors there PLEASE be careful on your prom night, think twice, and BE SAFE!!!!

Prom....
Prom...
The most exciting time of the year for seniors. The girls are running around looking for the perfect dress and the amazing shoes to match. They have to find the most sparely jewelery, get their hair done, and also their nails. The boys are also running around trying to find a shirt to match their dates dress and making sure they have enough money to pay for the tickets, the dinner, and anything else to complete their look for the night.
The day of the dance is full of electric air and everyone is excited to get all dressed up. Friends are making plans to spit a limbo or ride together or even spend the night at someones house after the night is through.
But in the side lines there are friends who are planning trips, parties, hotels, and more. All SUPER bad ideas!!! Most of these ideas include Alcohol and drugs.
When prom comes around and it is time to graduate, that is a time you are preparing to live your life. It is true freedom. You get to go to college, pick and choose what time to go and what days to attend, if you don't like a teacher you can drop them and get another one, you get a job or already have one, you can also get a chance to move up and become someone amazing. The list goes on and on, the list is endless of all the fun you can have amazing journeys you can live out.
Going back to the bad ideas, this is where a lot of seniors life of adventure ENDS!
To be continued......

Spring is Here...
Hello Everyone,
Spring is here. Time for a new start and fun beginnings. Time for throwing out the old and bringing in the new. I have already started my spring cleaning, starting with my garage. It was so wonderful to get back the space I needed and wanted for so long. I can now park both cars into the garage and not have to squeeze around boxes from the move.
As you know this also compares to your own life. A time in your life when you are ready to throw out the old and start all over again. It is an exciting time which you don't have to be afraid of. Think of it this way; breaking up with a boyfriend, forgiving a friend, making new friends, moving to a new neighborhood etc... It is scary at first but after you do it, it can be a very liberating feeling. Almost like throwing away an old shirt you liked so much. You loved it when you first got it but after a while it got old, washed out, faded, and could not fit you anymore. You feel sad because you loved it so much and you don't want to part with it but you are ready to throw it out and get a new shirt. That feeling of something new is always a great feeling.
Knowing it is new and it is yours makes you happy and confident. This spring be strong and throw out your old things that don't bring you joy, that hurt you , that only put you in a slump. This is your time to shine so go out there and show everyone your new beginnings! :)

I Remember...
Have you ever had one of those days when you are just sitting there and thinking about your past? I get those quite often. You sit and think to your self about how you would have done things differently or who you would be today if you did something that someone suggested.
Well think no more.... The past is the past and there is nothing you can do to change it----BUT---- you can change your tomorrow!
You are you and who you are is wonderful even if you don't see it. You might be thinking to yourself "but Jemm, You don't know who I am, You don't know what I have done, You don't know what has been done to me". That's ok, I don't need to know all of your life's details to know is that it is NEVER to late to turn things around, and if you cant turn things around it is always time for a new beginning!

If you would like to know more about how to turn your life around or just need a listening ear, please comment. :)
Hope you have a wonderful day and Keep your chin up!

In Every Moment...
In every moment, my loved ones are divinely cared for.
The people I care about show strength and faith in their daily lives. Yet we all have times of stress, sadness, anxiety or unease.
When my loved ones are grieving a loss or experiencing a change, I gently remind them that they are not alone, for within them is the strength of God. Within them is the ability to overcome any situation or setback. Within them is a resiliency greater than any challenge, for within them is divine power, providing strength and courage in times of need.
God's comforting strength is within the people I love every moment. I remind them of this truth, and see them filled with peace and assurance.
The Lord stood by me and gave me strength.

When is enough?
So....
You are going through life and you meet someone who you just cant stand to be with out. You both have so much in common and you think the other person is just so good looking. You share some laughs and some good times but then out of no where things start going down hill. Your b/f or g/f starts acting strange, not paying that much attention to you, verbally and fiscally abusing you. You try so hard to make sure you both don't get into any fights, you go out of your way to make them happy because you don't want to loose them.
BUT STOP!!!!!
Take a second and step back. Is that fair or is that even right? A relationship is about give and take, doing things for and with each other, using loving words. This explains what love truly is:
If you are not receiving these then how could the person saying they love you really love you? Also to those don't forget to also give these, like it says love is not self-seeking!
So ask your self...When is enough, enough? When will you walk away from the pain and hurt? Are you really staying with this person because you love them or is it something else? Their good looks? You think you can change them? There is only one person that can ever change anyone and that is God.
Please take it from me...walk away from anyone that is not treating you with true love. The longer you stay with someone that is hurting you the more pain you are only causing yourself. It ages you. So be strong, say your good by's and take time to find you again. Find the things you like, the things you enjoy doing and pray for your future soul mate. God will bring you just who you need!

| << 1 Corinthians 13 >> New International Version 1984 |
1If I speak in the tonguesa of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
2If
I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all
knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not
love, I am nothing.
3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,b but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love
never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where
there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it
will pass away.
9For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
11When
I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I
reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind
me.
12Now
we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to
face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully
known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Give Thanks...
Give thanks for the Lord or Lords
His love Endures forever. To Him
Who alone does great wonders. His
Love endures forever...Who made the
Great lights...The sun to
Govern the day... The moon and the stars
To Govern the night. His love

Are you hurting inside?
I know what it feels like when you are hurting on the inside and you feel like everything around you is falling apart.
Don't worry...you are not alone!
A lot of things will happen in your life, some good and some bad, but that does not mean you give up just because more bad things are happening to you at this time. You have a whole life to live and "Better days ahead".
Keep your chin up, Stay strong, and Don't change for anyone! You are special just the way God made you. :)

Striking Back
When someone treats us wrongly, we know what we shouldn't do. We shouldn't retaliate. We must not try to get even. We do not take revenge. Sometimes, though, it is difficult to know what to do.
Are you having trouble forgiving or praying for blessings for others?
I totally understand.... It takes a lot of work and trusting in God. You will be blessed back for your trust and faith in him for taking care of the situation you are in. :)
Hope you have a great day and don't forget to keep your chin up!
